BOX TO HOLD CARDS..

Hello my lovelies, have I missed you all sooooo
much I can't wait to see what you all have been
doing, I'm posting a few things I didn't get to post
before I left on vacation.
I had an old box and needed something to hold some
cards I made for my DS, ( the one with the cottage)
I have been altering shoe boxes for a long time,
I watched a video Altered shoe box by Kellie Murton.
She showed some great tips on how to improve the way
I made them. I used masking tape on all the edges, then painted them, this strengthens the box plus gives it a great frame for
your papers.

I covered it with some lovely wood grain paper
and added some hummingbirds I had left over.

I cut a slot and covered it with my washi tape
to reinforce it and make it easier to open.

The back view.

Side view.

This is my embossed punch I have and use for
all my projects, I got this for a gift from Tonniece.
Thanks for visiting and I'll be around to visit you
all as soon as I can, missed you greatly.
Have a wonderful creative day.
NAMASTE !!!!

  1. Well, Dianne, I was just thinking about you because I was writing about humming birds!!! Then I saw you'd posted - hurrah! And what had you created - a humming bird box! I have missed you so very much, it's great to have you back. I love this box. The masking tape is a great idea for strengthening. I am going to have a go at altering one of the many shoe-boxes I think Mr Magpie has hoarded up in the loft! Do come and visit when you can. Once again - lovely to have you back! Julie Ann xx #39
