MY TAKE ON MISS ASTRID'S FOLDER AND TAGS CREATION...

Hello my Lovelies, thanks so much for visiting my crazy nest and I hope you have time for to watch a movie :O), grab the popcorn and a drink.
I decorated eight side in this project, ( 21 photo's sorry) I did lots of things on them, no photo's of the process, your lucky or it would have been a full length movie, it took me 4 days to create it...
I'll try to keep the Magpie chatter to a minimum, really....

It stands up pretty well, it's quite thick....

I used 2 brown large envelopes cut down made 2 flaps and glued them  together for the base.
I inked up a piece of water color paper with Tim's squeezed lemonade and Stamping Up purely pomegranate with water...
Stamped some dragon flies with the purely pomegranate, stenciled some flowers and a pillar  with modeling paste colored with some blue and green water color in a tube. I glued it to the envelopes, then worked on the inside pieces, when I finished those I  glued them to the other side, then when I turned it over, yikes, I had glued them upside down. Now that is why the pillar became the back and the flowers on the front........

I had a fridge magnet with a sister sentiment, I took the colors from this to start the project with. I stamped some vines underneath , added some lovely corner pieces from Miss Julia Ann, I put a couple of coats of clear nail polish on them, hung a piece chain from a necklace, I love how it dangles on the front...

I love to use napkins, I podged a tiny piece with some sweet hummingbirds and bleeding hearts..

The back with the upside down pillar.

I love how the inside turned out, nothing makes me happier then being in a meadow as most of you know........
I inked up 2 pieces of mixed media paper used the some colors and technique.. I used my NBUS Tim's wood grain, loooooove it and will be playing with it lot.. I stamped some tree leaves on the top, my favorite meadow flowers again...

Stamped some of my 2 favorite sentiment stamps from paper artsy that I won right onto the paper....

The two tags...

I used some pretty paper  cover them with watered down gesso,  used the wood gran stencil with some gesso, stamped the dragon flies again, inked some mowed lawn with my sequin waste, stamped another favorite verse on a white napkin backing..

For the back I used a gorgeous piece of orange and red paper I have been hoarding it was quite shinny so I sanded it the went over it with Tim's mustard seed and spice marmalade. Stamped the dragon flies, and the sequin waste, then stamped more of the verses on plain tissue paper...

I did the same to this other tag using different verses..

Photos of the tags inside the folder..

I edged everything with Inca gold..

I was at Miss Alison blog this morning and she had a gorgeous tag she had made for A Vintage journey, you have to use a whole set of stamps to enter, I used this whole set plus a few extra  so hope this fits the challenge. These are my favorite set to use I won these, I got to pick them and use the all the time, lots of times I use them in the backgrounds for a bit of sentiment... So I'm entering the challenge here, I think I have entered 4 challenge this month, amazing for me....

I had to share a couple of photos of the off stamping I do when creating, I used a lot this week, I used the left over watered down gesso on my dictionary pages then use the to stamp on top of them

I used the wet pillar stencil on a scarp piece of card stock
I can make flowers with these or use them in my backgrounds..
If you still here God bless you, I appreciate you hanging around.

Well they finally let Deb go home, she is on the mend, Hallelujah!
Thanks a bunch for visiting I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, see you soon, ((( BIG HUGS )))..

                                          NAMASTE!!!

It's fabulous, Dianne - and I would certainly have never known that you originally meant the cover to go the other way up - it looks perfect to me. I adore the meadow spread on those internal pockets - what fabulous sunset sky colours behind the beautiful flowers... a wonderful creation altogether! Thanks so much for joining us on A Vintage Journey.

Oh Dianne this is so beautiful!! I just love those gorgeous warm colours you used and the fact that the pillar is up side down (happens to me all the time) does not matter at all. The tags inside are so pretty too, and wow, how I love those meadow flowers!! This is just a stunning project and thanks so much for adding it to our challenge at A Vintage Journey!

I sit here with my mouth open (not the prettiest of sights I might add!) at the stunning, stunning art that is before me.
The incredible stamping and beautiful use of stencils and wait, you tell us that you actually used envelopes to create the cover, well I never, how fabulous.
It is late in the evening in my little corner of the world but what a delight to stop off at your Blog before settling down for the night.
I will most certainly have the sweetest of dreams, possibly of frolicking through a summer meadow :)
One last thing - that is incredible news, bravo to Deb for the courage she has displayed and how lovely to read she will be home soon.
Wishes
Lynne
I cannot thank you enough for your continued support, you are my Cheerleader :)

You are one of my favourite artists because you always make my soul sing! These colours and images and beautiful words are true magic! Have you been out in the meadows gossiping with the fairies again? Lovely work, Dianne! Julie Ann xxx
