RUSTING DONE

 

 

 

Thought I'd share how my rusting of my lace and embroider flowers came out
I love them and will use them in a project soon.

WOO HOO I'M RUSTING!!!!!!!!!

 

 

 

Rusting it's another one of my favourite things to create.
To me "_" it's like Magic, you put a bunch of material,
and some steel pieces add some vinegar to cover them.
It smells like a fish and chippy place, but that's okay.
I usually leave mine 8-10 days, I make sure they stay damp,
with the vinegar.
I put a plate and steel it on for weight.
You can usually see how rusted the piece is getting.
When I  unwrapped everything, there are gorgeous rust marks
of their own making, like Magic.
I have never rusted lace before only cotton material.
I was on my friend another Magpie, she make some
textile pray flags,  and she used some rusted lace and other
tecnique's on them beautiful creative work...
Soooo she inspired me to rust some laces.
I'm excited to see how it turns out.
I working on a earth day project
and I want to use some  on there, hope it knows
I'm in a hurry heheehhe
