A MIX OF THINGS...

Hello my Lovelies, it's been a week since I got to my desk and only a day and a half for me to finish a tag for the Dragons Dream, so I had better fly to my desk this afternoon and get it done.

I make a BD Halloween card for a friend at swimming just something quick and easy

                   I also made her a bookmark to go with it..

 Now these 2 brooches, my friend at swimming Miss Lillian had one on her coat, I went crazy for it, she said I could take it home to see how it was made, since I have a can full of all this stuff I would love to try and make one. The next day she kindly gave me one for myself, I just LOVE  it, Thanks Miss Lillian, you have a huge giving heart, love ya..

Oh and my roses made out of maple leaves I had a ball with my friend crafting that day, it killed my hands you have to hang onto them so tight until your finished, they turned out okay, I probably won't try making them again but the fun we had made up for all the pain :O).. Thanks Sheila for a grrrreat day...

25th ANNIVERSARY CARD

Hello my lovelies, just dropping in for a wee bit, I've been real crazy busy at my desk doing a few things at a time again, I have been so inspired by all of you amazing artist who kindly visit my crazy nest.

The new challenge with the Dragons is with feathers, well you can guess I was flapping my feathers all over my room, I'll save that for my next post, oh and I'm working on a special box eekkss that's  been some big fun. Enough nattering :).

On to my card, a Lady at swimming asked me to make a 25th anniversary card for the gang at swimming, to sign...

This was pretty basic, I used a 12 x 12 sheet of my botanical pad, I used a plain sheet for the base, stamped on it with some script, and one of my favorite sentiment. I cut out another embossed page in strips for the design on the top and bottom edged everything with pomegranate stamping up ink.

I tore this piece from a bought card from my stash , edged it with the pomegranate ink, and used worn lipstick on the inside, it makes the words stand out better.

I cut the hearts in the frame out from another card in my stash, stenciled in the 2 and 5 in white, gold and black, I roughed up the frame with my finger nail ,I have very hard ones, my tools :) .. Then inked it with mowed lawn. I added a few pearls from the dollar store..

The back needed some weight, I cut out the embossed lace from the same paper, it's lovely paper. I added some dots along the top of the lace with my faber castell  big white pen..

I added a small sentiment inside, leaving lots of room for all the signatures.
I"ll be around when I'm taking breaks from my desk, it's calling to me right now, really, I have to gesso my cardboard box..
 My buddy Sheila is off this weekend, I and my friend Jan gathered a bunch of gorgeous maple leafs, Sheila and I are going to make some roses out of them, I'm real excited about that..

GET WELL CARD...

Hello my Lovelies, just a quick short post, I made a card for one of the Ladies at swimming for the gang to sign.

 I used a 12x12  beautiful paper, folded it in half and did some stamping..

 I stamped this cute mouse , colored it with distress inks and some Inca gold on the candle holders, some sentiments and some tiny flowers..

I put some white card stock for signing  and had to balance it with more pretty paper on the top..
I have been in a funk for a couple of weeks not crafting much or visiting like I should, please forgive for that ^-^...

SCOTTISH ANNIVERSARY CARD...

Hello my Lovelies, it's Saturday, the week has flown by, couldn't get to my desk till yesterday where I quickly made another card for a Lady at swimming, it's going to Scotland for an anniversary.

I started out with a file folder, cut it to make a large card, decorated 2 pattern papers covered them with watered gesso, I made a plaid pattern by watching Miss Gio on you tube, she made it look easy. I made mine a little differently.
I stamped a pocket watch with the word Memories, luckily it matched the sentiment I added from a card, I ask for a photo of them to fit in the vintage frame. Stamped some thistles and added some ribbon around it.

 I used the watered gesso again and stamped the word love, the thistle again in rusty hinge and sequin waste in broken china and mowed lawn, cut out another sentiment...

I've seem to have lost Mo and Jo is hiding somewhere. I was trying to dream with the Dragons all week, it had me all a twitter, until I found a stamp in the bottom of a drawer, waiting to be used, I'll be back when it's done. I'll be flying around visiting as many as I can.

A FEW COMMISIONED CARD..

Hello my lovelies just stopping in for a min., I've been busy working on a few cards my friend Mildred asked me to make and I had to have them done by today, I'm bring them to water fit for the ladies to sign.

The first is for a Lady Dora who is 90 and can no longer join us at water fit. The second is for a good friend of her's also 90 and has broken her hip, I made one just for her and one for the church group to sign..

I loved the way Miss Alison made her words they are inspired by her...

I had to take this in the evening so the light isn't good, I also had to stop to cut my sisters hair for her... I decorated the envelope this morning no time to take any more pics...

A FEW QUICK CARDS

Hello my Lovelies, I haven't been at my desk since last weekend,

when I made up a few quick and easy cards all from scraps.

Last week one of the sweet Ladies from water fit gave me a whole bag full of crafting goodies, ribbons, netting, threads for card embroidery, with a book full of samples, a parchment embossing set, blank card and envelope to make your own cards. She was so generous, I thought I would thank her by making some  all occasion cards with one of the packages. When I had time on the weekend I sat at my desk going through my 2 boxes full of scraps and made 15 cards, I didn't even need to use card sketches on google images :), first time just made them....

There would have been too many photos if I posted them individually.

I used paper scraps and  Tim's inks to match the scrap pieces, stamped the sentiments, embellishments, easy peasy...

I haven't had any inspiration all week to even get to my desk, so I'm flying around today to visit, been missing those :( ... I know I'll be full of inspiration after visiting you wonderful creative Ladies , you always do ^-^...

Our Deb is doing as well as can be expected, she has gotten an infection while in the hospital so she in in ICU now, thanks for all your support it fill my heart with love..... I'm flying off to visit, wishing you a wonderful  Easter weekend full of love,laughs, with your family and friends... ((( BIG HUGS))) .....

A CARD FOR MISS DARNELL

Hello my Lovelies, I finally get to post this card I made with love, for

Miss Darnell here who has a playhouse to create simple, gorgeous cards, she has such a creative mind, she has developed a new language for the computer, telling us lots of funny stories, I've crowned her the Challenge Queen, she can link one of her cards to some times 7 challenges, amazing, and she has tons of followers and very generously always shows their blog on her Friends corner, everyone visit her and always has a good chuckle for the day and get to see her's and other wonderful cards, she is a Sweetheart..

 I yes made her a card, don't make them often :), I started with a  6x6 black thick card stock with gold flecks. I used my gelli plate page, used my lovey stamp from Miss Bibiana, I cut out a dry embossed piece, cover the inside with some tissue from my gelli plate and stamp the sentiment..

 For the inside I inked up a piece of water color paper and stamped it with my lovely vine stamp.

I made a pocket out of vellum, them made a matching tag to sit inside, of course edged it all in some Inca gold, added a nice friendship quote by Joesph Addison..

EASY CHRISTMAS CARDS...

Hello my lovelies, just a few quick cards I made for
the Ladies at water fit, I can give them out at the party.
My DS Sandy gave me some blank embossed cards,
They were perfect for the base of any card, thanks Sandy.
I used some cotton candy gelato to give it a bit of depth.
I just applied it with my finger and rubbed over the
raised parts  lightly..

The Christmas music sheets,I showed Wed.
 I also stamped a deer twice, kind of a reindeer,
with broken twig and edged it with it, added some
glue and crystal sparkle, it's everywhere now, it was
making me all googly eyed :O)..

Tore some old book pages in strips, gessoed them lightly,
stamped my greeting on top, edged them with broken twig..

These little squares were attached to some small clothes pegs.
to hang cards, I took them off, sanded the edges, inked them
with broken twig, can you tell it's one of my favorites :)...

All put together, easy peasy, a close up below...

ENVELOPE

Hello my Lovelies, a quick post to show the envelope
for the retirement card, I dug out my script stamps to
make the name and the red Mom is a tease from my
scrap page which is done, I'll post that soon.. 

I used an old envelope , I should have sanded it
I used scrunched white tissue glued on top, and a
napkin with a lily of the valley. inked it with tea stain

Same on the back..
 I cut it to size and I scored it in half of circle
to make room in for the bulkiness of the card.
Now I can get on with my tags and gifts but for
now I'll be flying around to visit and get my inspiration fix...

A RETIREMENT CARD....

Hello my Lovelies, had to take a break on the CT.
Dec.11th we will be having a CP at Water fit, one
of the Ladies that works there is retiring, they were
collecting money for her and I offered to make her
a special card they could all sign..
I made it extra large for all the signatures, 10"x 5".
I inked it up with mowed lawn, water drops, and some
sepia dropped on top, stamped it with my favorite vines
in pine needle ink..

Stamped  with my memories stamp in black memento,
edged it with broken twig..

I used black thick paper to make the card, and
added some lovely fine corrugated behind it, and a
friends sign..

Here it is done, I was going to cut the large envelope,
but made another one, will post it tomorrow..

Sorry fuzzy pic, one embellishment, I made a nest with
some rusted threads I kept, with the tiny ribbon behind, I also
ran a strip down the right side, it was a little crooked, tried
to hide it LOL.. 

A flower with 3 crotchet pieces, more rusted thread
and an old button..
I'm also working on a scrap page for a Lady at water fit
who's Mom passed away, she gave me a photo of her.
I'm almost done..
Back to my Christmas tags, I was edging them with tea
dye ink, and thought I should just give them all a tea bath.
I had just finished when my DS Sandy commented on my
post that I should tea dye them, funny we had the same
thought at the same time, isn't life funny like that..
I will post the envelope I made tomorrow..
