WOYWW? WEEK 252..

Hello my Lovelies, Wednesday  again, my favorite day, grab a cuppa and join us at Miss Julia, the hostess with the mostess for buckets full of inspiration here.. 

                                    My desk is all full up...

 I took a few piece of mixed media paper, cut them into tags, I applied gesso to two of them and stuck them together, then peeled them apart, Miss Alison from Words and Pictures did this and got some gorgeous patterns on it.

 I just started to ink these ones with Tim's inks..

 The one on the right is just inks, the other was first swirled in Tim's paints then inked on top, then I dropped water all over them..

I then went lightly over it with Inca Gold..

 My new stamps I won from Paper Arts for my mask I entered, there are so many beautiful stamp sets to pick from I thought I would get the most use of this set, for background and lots of great sentiments, I can't wait to use them...

This is my the project I'm working on, a friend asked me to revamp her wreath. I've taking it right to the bare ring and will start again, all those pine cones were stuck in there with strong, long wire, yikes my hands were killing me by the time I pulled them off, I could only save a few, I washed them, they closed back up, so I put them in the oven at 250 degrees, sprinkled some cinnamon on them to make them smell nice.I left them in for about an hour they are all open and smell great... Sorry so much for short and sweet post, not an easy thing for this chatty magpie to do :O) ....

This is whats on mine..

These gorgeous feather were a gift from my Friend Tonniece aren't they fabulous, she also fussy cut out these 4 gorgeous Ladies in teacups I got from my sweet Magpie Cuz Julie Ann in England..

I have lots to show so I'll keep it short and sweet, I went  a little crazy with bleach and my stamps, I had a few pages I had made but were to dark, you can use just plain colored card stock too, maybe you can try it and have some fun, I know I did and loved how they turned out

This is the start of a master board..

This is the second master board, you can see below, where I put the beach in a lid with a paper towel and stamped away....

Hello my Lovelies, this week has flow by, Wed. my favorite day of the week, time to visit Miss Julie's here artist cafe where all the artist gather to snoop around each others desk, grab a cuppa and enjoy.

 This Magpie is happy as a bird can be, I've been singing all week, I finally got a chance to buy a few goodies, one of our craft stores is closing, my friend Sheila and I went to town, I got some of Tim's paints, stain, ink pads, eeks rusty hinge looooove it, forest moss, I'm crazy for moss, then some exciting stamps, some hedgerow and meadow flowers, now with Tim's set, I can create some lovely vintage things  and a real stencil LOL...

 Some great ribbons and some decorated chip board sheets, a  framed canvas ..

I've been making a book with all these goodies, I won the book with my Faber Castel package, it's "Fairies in the meadow", I've finished a few pages already and will start to show them tomorrow...

Hello my lovelies, whoot, whoot, it's Wed. again, time for Desker  to show what on our's and get to see some fabulous artist around the world, we all gather at our Miss Julia's ( Hostess with the mostess) here, grab a cuppa and enjoy, on to my desk..

I have been a busy Magpie so I've a wee bit to show you :O)..
This is a little sneak peek at what I made for a dear friend of mine,  using the whole set of my favorite stamp set, it turned out grrrrreat, can't wait to share it with you

I was playing with some chalk pastels, I colored the first tiger lily with the chalks, the second one beside it, was colored with water color pencils and water, the bottom one was colored with wood-less pencil crayons and Sansodor (odorless solvent), and this is why I don't color, not my thing, I do like the sansodor the best..

I sprayed some water on my stamp the used the chalks to color it, then stamped it, the second stamping is better, for the 3rd one I spritz the stamp with a bit more and stamped again, it gives a water color affect.

I made some alcohol ink with food color and alcohol, sprayed it on some water color paper, did some stamping trying to create a scene, I'm going to use this to make my Bro a BD card for April

Now these are way Kool, ATC Booklets, they hold 8 cards, I loooooove them, I need to get some lovely double sided paper, these are just practice ones, if your interested in making any the video I watched is here, thanks for visiting my nest, hope you all have a wonderful creative day, I'm off to water fit and will get my large cuppa and fly by to visit as many as I can..

Hello my Lovelies, it's Tues. evening, I had to quickly take a pic before I get back there... I'll keep it short and sweet for my favorite snoop tour, no not snoop dog, but a peek at what other artist are creating and the Sweetest hostess Miss Julia here, grab a cuppa and head over if you want get inspired....

 I made some  feathers out of eye lash wool, I love them, I'm going to add them to my Accordion book, thanks Ladies :O), and that paper hhhmmm......

 Last week I fly over to the Lovely Shoshi,( love her name) she is a tea bag lover too, she says she drops her used tea bags on paper and you get some lovely staining, I used a piece of water color paper dropped my bags and  also put my tea dyed gauze on there I'm in love with that paper can't wait to play with it..

The box for the book, I've got it ready to gold leaf the feathers..

Hello my lovely Ladies, it's time to see what all the wonderful artist are doing around the world, stop by our Desker, Hostess Extraordinaire,  Miss Julia Dunnit blog, grab a cuppa and enjoy.

 I've been experimenting again, making a gelli plate, boy I have seen some incredible pages artist have been creating, and making backgrounds is my thing :O), my claws have been itching to play with one. It was very easy to make, Miss Patty (Magpie's Nest) an amazing mixed media artist, photographer, and a very sweet Magpie, made her own and shared a link for a how to.
Ingredients, 11/2 cups of alcohol, 11/2 cups boiling water, 1/2 cups of glycerin, 7 packets of gelatin (6 tbs) ...
I emptied the packets into my pan added the alcohol , stirred it, it went into little balls, when I added the hot water it all dissolved, then added the glycerin, stir it well, I thought I had but it turned out like my Mothers jello rubbery on the bottom:), but that okay, I'm going to make another one but square. I slide a knife around the edge, then carefully lifted it out of the pan, then left it in the fridge over night..

                         
This is what it looked like on my desk kool eh hahahha...
I got my paints out, mine are about 10 yrs old, I store them upside down, the paint is way to thick so the examples below didn't spread around to well, I used the back of  1/2 x 1/2, now they are kind of double sided and a few on the front side, these are just a few,  I did a couple on tissue when there was just  a little bit of paint left on the gelli  sorry no pics, thought this bunch was enough, once you start playing with it, it's hard to stop.I'm going to try and add some water to my acrylic paint and see if that helps the colors to blend better, then I can use my stencils, to create some design on them.

WOYWW?

Hello my Lovelies, it's wonderful Wednesday again and time to go visit what all the other artist around the world are doing, this is all made possible by our generous Miss Julia here, grab a cuppa and enjoy...

I put together my Gelato Swatch book, I added some gelato

colored seam binding, just wet it and color away, I also stamped some birds on it, made a few danglies, a feathers, a bead I made,

with a few glass beads, more glass beads with a feather and and a bird on on a swing, if you would like to see the pages they are in my last oh 5 or 6 post :)...

This is what is on my desk for the week, 2 boxes, well when I saw Miss Julie Ann's here and Miss laura's here I fell in love with them,
they have inspired me to make at least one, two books are all gessoed and ready to decorate. I made 6 tags to go in the small box, all gessoed ready, the small box will be about feathers, and the other an Asian themed. Speaking of feathers you will see some, a plastic sheet, my hot gun, I'm going to try and make some feather stencils, I have never done this before so wish me luck. This is what I'll be up to for this week, hope you all have a wonderful creative week thanks so much for visiting, I'm off to water fit so will be visiting desks later and will visit anyone who has stooped by..

 Hello my lovelies and welcome to WOYWW

its been so long since I've played, that's possible

because of our wonderful Julia HERE she lets

all of us snooper, I mean Desker have a good look

see at all the wonderful desk around the world

My lovely friend Tonniece also gave  me some money 

to get some art supplies. I hurried down to Curry's one of

our few art supply stores in town, they had gesso and 

modeling paste  on sale so I finally got the real stuff,

3 water color pads and a mixed media one, 3 micro pens.

   

     I've started my book I won from Faber-Castel,

I'm going to try  and use mostly Gelatos to decorate

the pages, using different techniques.

 I have a few done and will post them soon.

I've put three of my dresses in the birdcage so far,

I love them in there... I will have to decorate the cage

not sure how yet..

Hello my Lovelies, hopping by for a wee snoop, we'll
be thanking our special Miss Julia @ for that pleasure.
Mine is short and sweet again, I took this pic on Sun.
It's late Wed evening and it still looks like this....
My tag's I'm working on, stamped the linen with my image
and a tiny surprise stamp, edged all 48 of them, cut out
the file folders, not sure If I like them, so I might look for
something else to use, added some podge with crystal
glitter, I 'm going to stamp the sentiment on my rusted material.
I'm even going to dust off my sewing machine, yes I said my
 sewing machine LOL and sew them together.
I have been out, had lots of company so that's why it still looks the
same, I HAVE to finish the ones going over the pond, hopefully
they will arrive on time..
I'm off to water fit, and it will probably take me till the weekend
to visit everyone, I promise to visit any how drop in my nest..

Hello my Lovelies, our lovely Julia HERE the hostess
with the mostess host our snooper oops Deskers day.
Grab a cuppa and have a look around see what on all
the desk tops..
What's on mine lots..
I have to make a few quick Christmas cards , for
the Ladies at water fit, thankfully my DS gave me some
card that were embossed so just going to add a bit to them,
some Christmas music torn sheets and  a few stamped tree.
I'm just starting these not sure what else I'll do... 

A sweet little Asian Lady from water fit brought me
a small long narrow plastic bag with these small pieces
of Japanese silks, I ironed them and look how gorgeous
they are, they came from Japan, I was so excited, I am
going to make a dress, maybe a kimono with them :O) ,
 see the shibori @ pieces on top, I looooove them...

A knock on my door and there was the wonderful
UPS fellow, bringing me my prize I won from the
Lovely Meihsia @ http://meihsia.blogspot.ca/
She is a wonderful designer for Faber Castell.
I did a happy dance flying around WHOOT, WHOOT.
Look at all the goodies, I am blessed.
10 gelatos, with a stamp a wonderful book with different
paper, all the tools for the gelato's some beautiful water
color pencils a fabulous book to make with small canvas
pages and YES a stampers big white pen ooww I have been
wanting one of those...
