PART THREE AN OLD SOUL

I made this paper on old lined paper from a pad,
I had stamped some script then pored some ink
with the film wrap and gold leaf.
I stamped on all my stash pieces and the canvas with
part of a stamp with birds, had to add those being a magpie :).
There everywhere..

I used the peace bling symbol, I'm a big advocate for
peace in the world and in our lives, funny story when
I was showing this to my friend Jan she said the peace
sign is upside down, I tried to change it but it wasn't moving.
Can you see the copper thread here too.

I love this stamp, the character means friend and
friends are a blessing and this old soul has been blessed.
It of course was stamped on tissue paper.
The silver earring I got in England it has a matching ring,
I lost one, so added it because I wear a lot of silver
I love it, its attached with a clothes pine with a mirrored
bird,  sadly I didn't get the little darling in this shot.

My Japanese ladies head holding my flowers,
I photo copied a stack of them when I was making
my DS a large screen, she had an old bamboo screen.
I made 8 geisha ladies on rice paper  for the panels.
The flower I cut out of coffee filter with some gesso,
hand cut, which is why its kinda wonky:).

This flower I used a punch with some painted water color
paper, I used gold leaf paint to do the earrings and hair things .

Love and Namaste, I'm all about LOVE, each other
and ourselves..
I used some sticky letters for my favorite word,
( really need to get some ink
for my printer) on some inked water color paper
I tore just about everything out and inked all the edges.
That's all about me hope you enjoyed the show, can
you believe it took me about 2 hrs to do this post,
so I think its time to say thanks so much for reading
all my craziness, I wish you all a wonderful  creative day.
NAMASTE!!!

PART 2 AN OLD SOUL..

A little origami dress, I inked it to match the canvas
made the hanger with green and purple wire,
then strung some tiny beads for the belt.
That's an old kilt pin I had forever, with a little bling,
the curl's are from waste of a rusted braid, you know
I can't through anything out :)
The fringe is some rusted lace.

The huge yellow flower is St johns wort just to
tie in my yellow outfit hahahhha,..
I made the gate on an inked pages years ago,
Dunvegan  Castle on the Isle of Sky castle
Its the home of the MacLeod Clan.
I've read historical Scottish novels all my life,
also was a HUGE fan of the TV series Highlander,
The lead actor Adrian Paul was on my desk top for years,
seriously LOL, he was Duncan MacLoed of the Clan MacLeod.
Ive always believed I had a man with a kilt and long flowing hair  when I was a lassie :O)..

A flower made with rusted lace and crocheted  piece,
with a tiny fairy, cause you know I believe in them,
I've seem them when I was a lassie and in my magpie eye.
Another lovely one below...

I had to add some inked stuff so made a couple of
fans which I love and adding to my Asian theme.
The beads I made a long time ago with tyvek
I will have to show you how to make these soon
if anyone wants to know.
I used some lovely brown and copper thread my DS
gave me in a couple of places, love the shiny stuff :O).
Still here  you honor me ^-^...
Part  3  yes more sorry..

AN OLD SOUL

Hello all and welcome, warning this layout is picture
heavy and a lot of explaining, stick around if you like,
or you can keep scrolling and just look around..
I've wanted to do a scrapbook page for a very long time.
I don't take many pic of people and very few of myself :).
I had the canvas made for a while, in my favorite colors.
I found a pic of myself that I actually liked, I wanted to tell
a story about myself and who I believe I am.....

I hope I don't scare some of you off cause you might think
I'm a little crazy, well that's if you don't think so already hahaha.
I used to have all this on my old blog  http://magpiesenvy.blogspot.ca/ which I used, when I was
very privileged  to  run a yahoo artist group..
I believe I'm an old soul, meaning I have been here before.
Once as a Scottish lassy and once as a Chinese princess okay
maybe not a princess. When I was in Scotland I really felt
like I was coming home, I know I'm dramatic :) you should see
me in real life, I do like to entertain and make people laugh.
At one time my home was filled with Asian things, everywhere.
I love there script and have enjoyed teaching myself the basics on how to make the characters.

I went through all my stash, which is lots :O) and gather
things I have made and things I love..
This photo was taken oh many moons ago, I guess I was
in my 30, I was in one of my favorite places Vancouver,
the Lonsdale Quay http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lonsdale_Quay
The ship behind  is a huge seafood  restaurant, there is a huge
market  behind there, which is fabulous.
I got close ups on all the embellishments in the next 2 post.
Thanks for  sticking around...

OLD MIXED MEDIA WORK MASK,,,

Hello my lovely Lady's, I'm having trouble with my camera chip or
the plug I use, I hope to have it fixed very soon.
I've been doing a few things, I would like to post but since I can't
I thought I'd show a couple of mixed media  pieces I made and are
still sitting in my cupboard :):).
I used a piece of my inked paper,
I cut a mask out of sparkly paper,
I added some webbing stuff I had,
I added ribbon, netting, broken jewelry.
I was inspired bu the masked balls they have in Vienna.
My DB,( I only have one and we are 7 girls:):)
came down for a visit for Easter, its also his BD on
the 2nd, he live in Espanola which is in Northern Ont.
So have to make him a card, I was on Nataliya's blog
Love Crafts Forever, she made a gorgeous box card
which I'm attempting  to do hahahha even colouring hehehe..
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend,
thanks for visiting, big hugs to you all.
NAMASTE!!!

MIXED MEDIA CANVAS

Well I'm not to please how this turned out, but after
the sneak peek I felt I had to show it..
First I saw this done with Vivian who is an amazing
mixed media artist, this is her blog contadinak.wordpress.com
the video she did which inspired me called Seeds,
I tried to post the link but wouldn't work you can
find her on you tube contadin K...
Anyway I layed down  masking tape then gesso over that,
I painted it with this fabric paint I have and sprayed it
with water to make the colours run, then I ironed some
Angelina together and glued this on.
I gessoed some stencils a brick wall, and the bird house.
I had a pic from a National Geographic mag. so I put a wide
piece to tape over the image, they looked like gnomes to me:):)
I burnished the paper off with water so it leaves an inked image.
Used some gauze to make the arbour, added a bit of stickle to
make it sort of mystical. I drew with my glue gun the branches
and rocks in the garden. I used metallic cream paints to colour the
hot glue and the gessoed bird house. I glued beads on for the
seeds on the branches and coloured them with copics
Please have a look at Vivian's video its amazing and what
inspired me. THANKS for looking
NAMASTE to you all...
