DREAMING WITH THE DRAGONS IN RED....

Hello my Lovelies, well it's very late in the evening and I finally finished my tag. The Sweet Miss May asked us to make a tag with red and D, the Dragon team here, made some gorgeous tags, they always inspire me to dream along..
. If you know me, I loooooove little dresses, it's one of my favorite things to create so of course I picked D for Dress.

Yesterday I started out with a sheet of paper I had in my stash which already had red and white circles on it from another project. I used all the red inks I had to color over the white then added circles with white paint and persimmon stamping up ink, I also made splotches with the white paint and persimmon ink. I cut out an old brown school picture frame for the backing, edging it in black soot.
Today I made a stamp, it is a dress, in case you thinks it's a cat :O).
Added some script in persimmon ink for the background..

Miss Julie Ann had sent me a dress form and I have been saving it for something special. I had 2 baby wipes from all the red I used yesterday, so I thought I would use this to make a dress. It has 2 layers a flowing top over the under dress, I like an angle on clothes, no straight lines for me...

I added 4 thin ribbons for the topping , 2 are cloth and the other 2 are the plastic curly ones...

I added stickles to trim the top part and on the belt, which you can see is still wet and  punched a circle out of some extra paper I had sitting around from all the red I was using and stamped my D, edged it with a black copic..

A close up of the angles on the dress...

I must be tired I have made so many spelling mistakes, it's like I'm typing an unknown language, so I'm off to bed and will post this in the morning, before I head out...
Thanks so much for stopping by my nest, it's always a pleasure to have you here. Wishing you all a wonderful creative week, ((( BIG HUGS )))

DREAMING WITH THE DRAGONS OF SPECIAL FEATHERS

Hello my lovelies, when I saw Silvia picked the letter V and feathers I was so excited, I have a Valise full of my baby feathers my Magpie Mom had saved for me to start my own nest with, I also had a few special feather I found with them. I just had to make a tag to go along with it.....
The Dragons team here have made some fabulous creations to inspire us all...

This is the Valise, made out of cardboard from a writing pad. I decorated some paper to look like eggs.

I cut out some strips of leather for the straps..

I used a flat piece of cardboard for the backing then a corrugated piece for the top piece, I made the tree with masking tape, painted the tree with brown and some green and grey for the moss, painted the sky with Fresco beach hut.

I made a feather stamp, and then made some washi tape to frame the tag with it. The large feather my friend Tonniece gave me, I fussy cut it out..

There eagles are flying around, hopefully they don't see my                treasures and swoop down for a closer look...

I added a real Quill to the tip, there is a tiny nest in the hole in the tree.....

My beautiful feathers inside, I used a twig to hold it open, for the letter I used a piece of cardboard covered with the same paper and wrote the letter with a calligraphy pen and ink and hung it on the twig

I used some eyelash wool to make the topping, I made a feather on part of it, with a piece of material on the back..

Thanks so much for visiting my crazy nest, I did enjoy making this tag soooo much it was a JOY dreaming with the dragons again, I had company all weekend, lots of laughs and crafting. today I can visit and get back to my desk. I wish you all a wonderful creative week, ((( BIG HUGS )))

WELCOME TO THE CONCERT !!!

Hello my lovelies, welcome to the Concert, I dreamed out side my window here.. lots of inspiration from the Dragon Designers.
The Lovely Helen asked us to use Lace with the letter W.
I search my trusty dictionary, as soon as I saw Warbler I knew that was  IT :)..
Warblers are the best Singers of the all the Bird Clans......
I sat at my desk and dreamed a Beautiful Concert by our famous Canadian Warbler, it was music to my ears, the Banner was hung  out the on window.
You can see all the Magpies gathering to attend, the ones on the bird feeder came early for the best seats, you get drinks to quench your pallet, while listening to the songs. The Star Rahsaan is perched on the flower, waiting for everyone to arrive, he is so beautiful..
I recorded some of it for you, you can listen and see him sing if you like  Here , I up loaded it to You Tube  :O)...

I cut a backing of corrugated,  painted it lightly with gesso, edged it with Walnut ink.
For the front panel I used the rest of the cover from a watercolor pad. Gessoed it 3 times,
Podged a lovely piece of lace over it all, painted it with Fresco beach hut.
I used a stencil with Goldens paste fairly thick, then painted it with Pebeo apple green and Fresco London bus for the flowers.
I surrounded  the window with sticks from a bamboo curtain I took apart..

I made a small lace cutain for the top, then made a Banner with some plastic cube beads and a few shiny beads on a plastic string this all came in a dollar store set, loooooooove how it turned out

I stamped the bird on some tissue colored it like a Canadian Warbler, I used the technique from the video at Paper artsy, first painting the back white then painted the front with Frescos, he is a bluish grey with a yellow chest and face, with a lovey black necklace of feathers on his breast. I wanted to make him a little firmer them tissue, so I glued him to a large feather, the quill runs from his chest to his tail, I cut the feathers around his body, you can see it peeking out, and a round glue dot for his head, it gave it some form to perch on the leaf....

I stamped all the Magpies on tissue and podged them in the background.....

I added a black lace curtain for the bottom of the window.....

When I went to put my last Jade tag up on my wall where they were all displayed, yikes I ran out of room. not an inch to spare...
I thought I could make something to house them in, so I have made a special cupboard for them. I will show you that goody soon...
Thanks so much for stopping by my crazy nest, I took the morning off my desk to go and wrap my friends Jan's Christmas gifts, DANG, it's way too early for this, but the sooner I finish the more time I will have for my own X list shesh, don't even want to think about it. I know I have too.
It's my Friend and crafting Buddy Sheila's BD next week, am working on her envelope card....
I had so much fun dreaming with the Dragons again once I started I could stop :)....
It was lovely to share my tag and bits of the brilliant Concert, wishing you all a wonderful creative week, ((( BIG HUGS )))...

DREAMING IN JADE'S WITH THE DRAGONS...

Hello my Lovelies, I'm getting this in the challenge just under the wire at the Dragons Dream, there is some amazing tag there to inspire anyone every challenge.. Elizabeth wanted you to use the letter J with a die cut, I choose Jade. It's one of my favorite gems.

I used a piece of cardboard for the back and the front page of a water color pad, I gessoed both of them brayed them with my Fresco paints, didn't like the look so went over it with Hey Pesto and Beach Hut, Inky Pool mixed with Zesty Zing, lots of layers, I'm too heavy handed need more practice :)..

I then used a some sepia ink to make some veins, then used some inka gold withe a feather to make more veins. Stamped a Chinese writing stamp with white paint and a ginger jar with memento black.
I love them both and hated to cover the bottom one but had to ....

This is the tag in all its Jadeness I think I made that word up :O).
I braided 9 different pieces of yarn for the topping..

Tonniece had given me a die cut ginger jar I painted the base a gold then used Pebeo apple green for the design. I used a foam letter j colored in Inca gold...

I used a green glass bead with the word jade under...

I used 4 more glass beads under the top piece to make it stand up more and you can still kinda see the bottom layer...
That's it for now, I'm still sick, can't get in to see the Doctor till Oct 10th.. Maybe I'll be better by then..
So my Lovelies I see you when I can, thanks so much for stopping by my nest, your comments make my day.. ((( BIG HUGS ))).

I DREAM AND YEARN WITH THE DRAGONS......

Hello my Lovelies, back with another tag to enter the challenge with the Dragons here, this was a stumper for me,  the letter Y and transport.... I had NO stamp or anything to do with transport,
"Tonniece" to the rescue, she stamped a few things and some lovely die cuts, I didn't use them all :). The dragon team have made some amazing tags...

I started with a black and white vintage design  card stock, applied watered gesso over it, dripped and splashed some ecoline ink, sepia and burnt sienna  all over, made some circles through some sequin waste, with brown corduroy, stamped some script. Roughed up all the edges and curled the corners, I tore out a backing of the corrugate, went over it lightly with rusty hinge paint, added inca gold all around the edges, on the car, bike and pumpkin coach.

I used some old letters from a game for my word, inked them with rusty hinge, I added a thick layer of clear nail polish, wasn't thick enough so I used some crackle accents around the letters, then some poge with clear rock candy, edged them with my inca gold.

I Yearn for the time we all believed
in magic and fairy tales, when one
would look at the bottom of the gardens
                                             for the fairies...
( the coach is my stamp, I didn't think I could create a tag with only this stamp)

I Yearn for the days when riding a dangerous vehicle was a penny farthing and a Sunday drive in a model T Ford, driving slow enough to see and drink in the country side.
The penny farthing is a die cut and I fussy cut the car, used foam tape to add the dimension, colored them with copics.

For the topping I punched 2 holes with my cropadile, added some curly yarns, that was from a purse handle, I made a bow with some string from a burlap bag I just took apart, I painted a tiny wooden oval with rusty hinge, stamped a Y, edged it with inca gold. I tried making the bow like our Lovely Miss Tracy Evan, as she does,
she makes the most gorgeous bows...
I have been dealing with my interest provider, after many, many conversations, they were NO help so now I had to re sign up with all you Lovelies with my new address, put my new email address on top of my blog, it will be wonderful to get some mail in I have been in withdrawals. They wanted me to get my mail on the web, NOT, I like my outlook program, anywho, things should be better, they better be I 'm doing a creative blog hop on Sept 8th, see you then.
Thanks so much for visiting my nest , you make my day, ((( BIG HUGS )))

DREAMING WITH TH DRAGONS IN RUST LAND!!!!!

Hello my Lovelies sorry I've been posting lots, this is my last post till I get back, I promise..
Well I had so much joy creating my tag, my wonderful Cuz Miss Julie Ann picked this weeks challenge, RUST and the letter O..
I'm entering this into the challenge here, have a look and see the wonderful  work created by the design team..
SQUAWK I'm crazy about rust, so I looked in my trusty tiny dictionary, when I read Ocher I knew this would be my word, love that color..
I googled images of it and was so surprised to see all the different things that had ocher in their tittle, so there started my dreaming..
Sorry for the lighting it was a wonderful dark rainy  day, it makes me very happy, I know everyone tells me I'm crazy, I like to think I enjoy the simple things....

I started with a piece of my rusted cotton, frayed all the edges, found all the stamps I had to use and stamped them in gathered twigs, I did a bit of coloring with my copics..

You can see some of the rusty chicken wire with curly cues,, I used to hang it and added some strips of ribbon I tore up to dangle..

For my letter I colored a small wooden block with rusty hinge, then dripped some rust crayon and stamped my wax stamp which just happens to be an O added some Inca gold over the letter.
There is a bird called Ocher which is two tones of brown and yellow around his eyes..
The Ocher butterfly is spotted blue, brown and white

There is a Tribe in Africa that paint themselves in ocher clay around where they live, I just happened to find this stamp ( Tonniece gave me 3 black ladies, NBUS ) which look exactly like this tribe, amazing.
I love it when a plan comes together, :O)....

I had to add a nest made from a tiny grapevine wreath filled with the threads I frayed and colored the eggs (beads) as I imagined they would look..

There is also an ocher mushroom and a beautiful ocher starfish which I had to make, I cut it out inked it with rusty hinge, added some white dots with my sharpie and added gold stickles it were still wet when I took the pics..

I put it on an old piece of cardboard picture backing, added some glue and poured some rust powder I got from the rusted chicken wire and some rusted clay from Little Rock Arkansas all around the frame...
Okay I'm off to bed, were off early for our trip, I'll be taking pics of the ATB cottage on the deck up there...
Thanks so much for stopping by my nest, your visits mean the world to me. See you all when I get back  ((( BIG HUGS ))).

                                   Wings together head bowed,
                                                NAMASTE!!!

DREAMING WITH THE DRAGONS, WITH A PARASOL....

Hello my Lovelies,  just got home this morning and checked out what the Dragon's were dreaming, I missed the last challenge because of internet problems so I was determined to play this challenge,  the lovely Gabrielle wanted cogs with the letter P..

Just had time to take pics after I finished it. Can you believe it took 4 hours to make it, just went with the flow, time flew by..
I started with a piece of inked mixed media paper I had sitting on my desk, I had inked it with mowed lawn, broken china, rusty hinge spritz with water.
I had only one die cut cog I had gotten from my DS Sandy, I have nothing steam punkish, I used the die cut to stencil it all over the tag with broken china, then found a NBUS stamp which Perhaps is a cog or Perhaps it isn't, thats' what I'm calling it anyway and stamped it in rusty hinge....
I had to find a word for P, Perhaps maybe, no, so I got out my trusty tiny dictionary and started the Ps, when I found Parasol, eekkss  now I'm a parasol girl, I have to hide from that sun, they gives me some SUNSHADE  which is the definition  for parasol, I love that word....
Light  bulb idea, I would use my now blue die cut cog for the base of my parasol, mine are painted Chinese silk ones but I have always wanted one covered with black lace , now I have one on my P tag, it might inspire me too make a large one :).....

I made another parasol with a tooth pick and a circle I punched from an some off stamped paper I had sitting around my desk I added a crystal bead on top and a plastic bead for the handle...

I backed it on to a piece of corrugated cardboard, added some gesso,, the three colors of ink again randomly around...
I had some orange ribbon, it comes in a strip of 6 pieces sewn together, I cut the first piece and they all split, I curled all the strips, love how this came out....
I punched another circle, cut it in half, inked 1 piece with mustard seed, stamped my P in the sun, added some stickles around it to make the rays..

On the die cut cog,
I cut some used incense sticks ( I keep a jar full of them, great for miniature things ) between 2 circles of black lace, I should have added some trim, dang, anywho, I added silver stickles to the tips and in the middle, used the other half of the punched circle, inked it with broken china, (cool under there) stamped my word..
Whoosh this was a long post, sorry.. I had a brilliant time at my desk,  dreaming with the dragons, I've missed it stacks. I'm entering this with the Dragon's  here....
I was away for my reunion and big fun was had by all, ....
I'm flying around to try and get caught up with all of you, I can't wait, I'm ready for a inspiration over load.
Thanks so much for visiting my nest, you make my heart sing. I have a few things to show you so "I'LL BE BACK"...

BROWN HAWAIIAN BEAUTY...

Hello my Lovelies, I've been having lots of problems with my internet server, Rogers bought out my old server, and they are taking a long time to get it together. So I'm too late to enter the Dragons Dream challenge, thought I would post it anyway, it's also a schedule post since I'm out of town  until the Aug 10th.

The challenge was the letter H and the color brown, I was searching for something to use and found a stamp my DS gave me, its been hidden in a drawer forever waiting to be used, a  brown Hawaiian beauty, isn't she lovely. I stamped her on a piece of mixed media paper.
Colored her with copic's and distress inks, coloring is not my thing :O)..

I made a lei out of confetti flowers for my topping..

I used all the Tim's browns I had to get the color around her spritzed it with water, then stamped some flowers around her

I used a chip board letter H for the center of the flower. I used another piece of flat cardboard to make a frame and colored it with Inca gold..
That it for me for a while, I hope you all have a wonderful week and I'll see you when I get back...
Thanks for stopping by my nest, I'll miss you all..

DREAMING WITH THE DRAGON'S TAG...

Hello my Lovelies thanks for popping into my nest.
I was dreaming with the dragon's, this had got to be the most far out and freakiest creation I've ever made this was way out of my comfort zone..
The challenge is the letter K and hearts, hearts, my DS Sandy sent me some hearts she made out of some mixed media paper. I never thought I would use them, until I thought, in a fantasy land the King of Kindness would be all heart (s) sorry for the pun...

I started with a piece of cardboard, peeled then gessoed it.
I took a piece of water color paper and some of Tim's rusty hinge and broken china ink, mixed with water and ran my torn piece of paper through it, I've been wanting to try those 2 colors since I saw it on Miss Alison's gorgeous creation, love them together, spritzed it with some water, for all those lovely water marks.
I used some watered Inca gold used my fan brush to splash gold all over and  around the edge.
I stamped the word kindness in broken china and a tiny ancient tile in the rusty hinge.
I used the same on the top seam binding..

I made the King his own Banner, dyed a piece of silk ribbon, stamped his Title on it, used a black wooden block ( to hold chopsticks ), run the ribbon over a tie clip, cover it with a metal embellishment.

I tried to make a body with the hearts, I have no men stamps, so Miss Julie Ann had made a man from a female face, this is my attempt of a mans face, I made his crown with a piece of  plastic shrink and a gold heart on top, I gave him a tiny lace collar.

You can see all the texture on these hearts...

I melted some wax and stamped a K in it to put on his chest plate, added a lace and gem belt.

Thank you all for stopping by and letting me share my far out and freaky tag, have a wonderful weekend.
I'm entering this into the Dragon's Dream challenge here.
Did I mention I was one of the Dreamboat 3, SQUAWK.... I am honored and tickled pink, I love their challenges, hop over there to see all the creations that inspire me to dream with them too.....
