A CARD FOR A SPECIAL FRIEND !!!

Hello my Lovelies, hope you all enjoying the fall weather as much as I am, looooove it.
Yesterday was my bestie and crafting buddy Sheila BD, I made her a card. Started with a 12x9inches  brown envelope and cover both sides with napkins..

For the outside I glued strips of some UK napkins Miss Shelia is has an Irish background and loves the UK almost as much as I do.
I ran out of glue stick glue, which is the best to lay down the napkins with, the wetter glue made it all bubbly, and wrinkled, I had to press it in a book with weights on it to try to flatten it. Then went over it with watered gesso...

I used some letters to spell out HB and stamped friend on a gessoed book page..

I stamped the sentiment and a thistle all over the front..

For the inside I used lots of flowers since Miss Sheila loves her plants and is a huge dog lover so the cute dog is her and the Magpie is me, best buddies we are, see I'm giving her kisses :)...

I added some glossy accents for his eyes :) and a flower crown. she love hibiscus, I have a stamp and she sat here one day and stamped
on at least 6 pages of card stock full of them, imagine that :O).

I stamped some different scripts and a french postage stamp, she also loves the Eiffel tower ...

Thanks for stopping by my nest and making my day with all your lovely comments.
There is a new challenge up at the Dragons dream, shesh 2 weeks have just flown by where does the time go, so it is a good one can't wait to start dreaming of that...
Hope you all have a lovely week, see you soon...
                                    ((( BIG HUGS )))

                                          NAMASTE...

Hi there, Dianne! What a gorgeous card you made for your dear friend with so many of my favourite things on it too! It's such fun and so rewarding to make things for the people we care most about and you always make things with such love. Oh, and hibiscus! We used to have one in our garden, but it had been here for so long it grew too tired to bloom in the end and sadly withered away. I'd love to buy another to replace it! I too love images of the Eiffel Tower! And what a coincidence that we both used napkins as backgrounds recently! I can't wait to see what you dream up for the Dragons this time too!!! :) xxxx

Oh such a fabby card, I bet it was much loved! Love the use of the napkins, and you had me intrigued with the glue stick... (I always use medium for my napkins). Love the colourful inside specially, the dog and the kissing magpie, so sweet, great creative card altogether!
