Hello my Lovelies, " warning Will Robinson this is photo heavy:O),
I did do a bit more...
I'm offering tea or coffee while viewing :O), :O) ..
close up..
I cut up my gelli print,, I wish I had taken a pic of them, I saw feathers in the pattern so I drew some in with copic's...
My friend Sheila, photo copied the poem by Emily Dickson,, the way it was copied I had to fit them side ways, the plan was to have them stand up lengthwise, bit that's okay..
I joined them together, with dyed ( kool aid & tea) gauze and skewers, with modge podge,
I tore the sentences, inked them with broken china and shabby shutters, edge with brushed corduroy, I edged everything with it and Inca gold. Now it flips down..
I punched out some tiny birds from birch bark, and had them flying around the poem, love those little guys..
This is how I wanted it to sit, I'll just have to make another one :).
Does anyone know what these are called, I knew when I made one years and years ago, I can't remember, a missing link LOL...
Now I have to finish the box for them, I hope to be back Wed.
for WOYWW... I'm flying off to do some visiting...
NAMASTE!!!

I think my dear Magpie friend, Patty is right and they are called 'accordion' cards or books? I am so glad you created this, Dianne, it is gorgeous - amazing colours and I love what you did with the sequin waste. The feathers - well - it goes without saying we both adore feathers! Emily Dickinson is one of my favourite poets and that is one of my favourite poems! I love, love, love this project, dear Cos'! And, by the way, thanks for all your love and support. I felt quite unwell today and seeing your cheery comments really made me feel better :D Julie Ann xxx
The depth is astonishing and such a glorious colour palette.
I love your use of the feather stencil - really, I have to say I absolutely adore what you have created - very special!

Dianne...oh my goodness! I absolutely love your accordion piece. I adore the colors...browns and teal tones always draw me in. Love your theme of using the feather stencil and the little punched out birds along with the wonderful sentiments. This is so pretty, so positive and beautifully done, Dianne!! Love it! <3 Candy

Glorious depth from the layers of colour and stamping - it looks as though you could dive right in to those backgrounds! The feathers look stunning, and I love the white accents. Fabulous fabulous work (and yes, I'd go with accordion card too!), Dianne!

Hello again, Dianne. Did you manage to hear the song 'Bones and Feathers'? If not, you can download the track (it's on an album called The Glamoury) from Amazon. It doesn't cost v.much. It's 69p in English money, not sure what that would be in dollars. Hope you get to hear it. She has a lovely voice and I think it's a lovely song. Julie Ann xx
Oh My Di. Hearing what you did and seeing it are totally different. It sounded so pretty when you told me about this project but wow, you sold yourself short. This is amazing!!. I LOVE your color choices, all the different techniques, the feather stencil, and punching the birds from bark... outstanding. Love everything about it.
