DRAGON DREAMS CHALLENGE.

Hello my Lovelies I love the dragon dream challenges so had to do this one, the letter A and a different shape tag,, that's right up my alley:), I looooooove any thing Asian so this is what I came up with.

I made my tag into a Asian screen. I cut up a piece of cardboard tore and rough up the edges, inked it with black soot. I got out 3 beer mats, cut out 3 squares of water color paper to fit them. Then I inked the paper with Tim's worn lip stick, fire brick and  tattered rose. Splashed some water on them, then used some of my Asian stamps. Glued them to my card board, added 2 sticks to the sides and glued them to wooden blocks. Added a few small roses. I added some red plastic ribbon on the top sides, now it can hang or stand on it's own...
I wanted to add my word, I used a strip of water color paper, did the same technique on it then stamped my word .. I used a piece bamboo curtain, glued it to the back of the cardboard and the back of the water paper to hold the word in place. Glued three fancy paper clips on the curtain.
A close up of each panel. I added 3 fans...

I used my big white pen with my sequin waste..

Thanks so much for visiting my nest, I had big fun creating this screen and getting a chance to play with the Dragon Dream gang,
I'm entering in this month challenge.. Thanks Dragons Here
Hope you all have a wonderful week, I've got a big pot of soup on the simmer for this weeks dinner, when I worked at the woman's shelter I used to make Lazy mans cabbage rolls, with the left over if any, I would make a soup out of it, that's what I have in my pot, not sure what I'd call it,  I also added beans and brown rice, it will be more like a stew, I'll have lots to share too....
I've been super busy at my desk, so I'll be flying around to visit my lovely friends  this afternoon ......

                                       NAMASTE!!!

What an amazing Oriental creation... I love that each panel has its own gilded fan and variation of stamps... and the whole piece looks so "antiqued" - it's fabulous, Dianne!

Dianne...this really has the WOW factor! Beer mats....really!?! I love the definite Asian look you've achieved on this little lovely. :) The red stamped base reminds me of a geisha girl's silk fabric in a kimono. :) I love the design ... very cool. I also wanted to thank you for the sweet comment that you left on my blog. I am so excited for A Vintage Journey to begin! Have a great week! <3 Candy
