DREAMING IN JADE'S WITH THE DRAGONS...

Hello my Lovelies, I'm getting this in the challenge just under the wire at the Dragons Dream, there is some amazing tag there to inspire anyone every challenge.. Elizabeth wanted you to use the letter J with a die cut, I choose Jade. It's one of my favorite gems.

I used a piece of cardboard for the back and the front page of a water color pad, I gessoed both of them brayed them with my Fresco paints, didn't like the look so went over it with Hey Pesto and Beach Hut, Inky Pool mixed with Zesty Zing, lots of layers, I'm too heavy handed need more practice :)..

I then used a some sepia ink to make some veins, then used some inka gold withe a feather to make more veins. Stamped a Chinese writing stamp with white paint and a ginger jar with memento black.
I love them both and hated to cover the bottom one but had to ....

This is the tag in all its Jadeness I think I made that word up :O).
I braided 9 different pieces of yarn for the topping..

Tonniece had given me a die cut ginger jar I painted the base a gold then used Pebeo apple green for the design. I used a foam letter j colored in Inca gold...

I used a green glass bead with the word jade under...

I used 4 more glass beads under the top piece to make it stand up more and you can still kinda see the bottom layer...
That's it for now, I'm still sick, can't get in to see the Doctor till Oct 10th.. Maybe I'll be better by then..
So my Lovelies I see you when I can, thanks so much for stopping by my nest, your comments make my day.. ((( BIG HUGS ))).

                                          NAMASTE!!!!

I think you have captured the jade colour perfectly and I love how you did the veins with a feather - you are always so inventive!

So sorry to hear that you are still poorly, that is an awfully long time to wait and see the doctor, hope you feel much better soon. Big healing hugs, Anne xx

Gorgeous! Love the color and the jade, one of my favorite gems. Stands for beauty, grace, and purity. Chinese culture believes that the stone carries the essence of the person who has worn it, making it even more valuable and special. Chinese saying: Gold has a value, jade is invaluable.
Your art is so inspiring, Dianne.
Always a pleasure visiting with you.

You certainly captured the beauty of the Orient with your colour choice and as for including the word jade to create an embellishment, it is the cherry on the icing on top of the cake!!!!!
Thank You as always for being the most amazing supporter of all that I create.

Oh Dianne, this is a gorgeous hanging! I love all those painted layers and the gold veining add a touch of richness. Green is glorious and the proof is in this hanging. Love it! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Hugs!

I'm all for Jadeness lol! Jade is one of my favourite stones too. I love the double layered tag you have made - it's very unusual indeed and you've really captured an oriental feel with it.

I hope you are soon feeling better! It's scandalous that you have to wait that long for an appointment. I agree that you'd be better taking yourself off to A&E. Take care of yourself!

Thank you for such a lovely enthusiastic comment, Dianne! Much appreciated. I am so glad you like my card. I had great fun drawing and colouring it. I must do some more, and this time, save the drawings as digistamps so I can use them again!

How are you feeling? I do hope you are better now - if not, do take yourself off to hospital!

Hi Dianne! You are always such a ray of sunshine when you visit my blog. THANK YOU SO MUCH for the heartfelt words of encouragement. You always make me smile. :) Your "jaded" tag is gorgeous. I really love your Asian flair that you tend to have on so many of your pieces. This color is lovely and the tag beautifully done. I love the little spice jars that are stamped all over the paper and the gold streaks running throughout add so much. Thank you again for taking the time to stop by my blog. <3 Candy

This is so gorgeous, Dianne. I'm so very sorry that I missed it. It must have been because that is the day before Isaac's birthday and I was flapping my wings like crazy trying to make it nice for him! Anyway, here I am, late but impressed. I love the colour; the jar; the wonderful oriental details. It's fab, fab, fab and I'm really sorry I missed it! xxxx
