TYVEK BEADS PART 2

With tyvek it's about applying heat, you can use
a heat gun like I did, you must take it off while it's
still hot, use pliers, it's hot:O) heated one on the
bottom, I like the grundged look better

These I added colored wire, heated on on the left.

The 2 above I rolled in a Timmy's resist, you can use
any kind, then dipped them in clear embossing powder.

Made some out of paper, her's are gorgeous, like  glass..

This shows how it reacts to heat depending on
the side you heat, it bubbles, give great texture
to your project..

This piece I made over 10 yrs ago with my DS
Sandy showed me how to play with it.
I painted it, sewed it on her fancy Serger sewing machine
then heated it.
Here are 2 videos showing how to play with tyvek

Thanks Dianne! This is a very helpful tutorial. I have used a similar technique with strips from magazines like flags around cocktail sticks, rolled in Versamark and then clear embossed with a heat gun. I have also added UTEE blobs here and there. I have some Tyvek you sent me and I think I'll have a play as soon as I get a minute! I really love the wire on yours - fantastic! These would really finish off a project well! Julie Ann xx

The beads are just so incredible - WOW, incredibly arty.
I've used this product some time ago but never to create beads. I found it difficult to manipulate which was good in one way as the outcome could be a lovely surprise.
Inspirational.

I watched your videos and they are fantastic. I also subscribed too. I used to make paper beads a long time ago, but not out of tyvek. Thanks for the inspiration.

Stunning beads, and a fantastic tutorial too... I'm sorry to have got so behind (it's been a crazy few weeks), but it's been so much fun catching up!
